Like many artists do, I based one of the characters on my myself. Not in appearance, but in personality.
For example: I've fostered 3 different squirrels (Andy, Bindi, & Craimer) and I'm very into robots. So an alien, mechanic who built her own squirrel companion was clearly a go-to design here.
